Maidenhead United FC's Walking Football Team

Posted by Helen Park on 15 February 2018

Maidenhead United FC's Walking Football Team have been established since 2015.

The sessions were established by our community partner, Magpies in the Community as part of the Get Fit campaign (a RBWM initiative).

The team have found that their sessions are improving each week and playing in the Thames Valley Walking Football League has improved their skills in Walking Football as well as having fun and reminiscing about their playing days.

Walking Football is a slower paced version of the sport aimed at over 50's regardless of health and abilities.  The game has grown in recent years and has been a great way of attracting many people back into football due to its health and fitness benefits as well as proving a fun and safe environment for all.

You will find them every Tuesday at the Braywick Astro Turf pitches from 13.30pm - 14.30pm come rain or shine,

New players of all ages and abilities are always welcome!

Maidenhead United Walking Football Team is Managed by Gary Watts who is an FA Qualified Coach.
